Born somewhere between a bass boat and a bad decision, DublWhyd is the pride (and occasional shame) of Possum County, USA. DublWhyd—real name classified, pending legal review—began playing after getting banned from his local gun club for “over-enthusiastic celebrations.”
Blending outlaw country, Southern rock, and “whatever was playing in the Waffle House jukebox that one night,” Skeet and the boys deliver foot-stompin’, beer-spillin’, high-octane twang that’ll make your mama blush and your truck run better.
His signature sound has been described as “Merle Haggard meets Metallica at a mud bog.” The rest of the band—featuring Rusty Dale on drums (paint buckets), Earl “Two-Stroke” Jenkins on lead guitar, and Bubba Lightyear on bass—bring the kind of energy that could only be fueled by Mountain Dew and poor impulse control.
When they’re not onstage, you can find the band performing impromptu shows in parking lots, pawn shops, or anywhere that serves fried pickles.
